The FORDESPHYSIO Pain Clinic is a specialised clinic for people who suffer from chronic pain. The therapists at the FORDESPHYSIO Pain Clinic offer a unique approach to help their patients manage their chronic pain and improve their quality of life.

At FORDESPHYSIO we understand the huge impact that chronic pain can have on the quality of life of our clients and we want to help them get back to doing the things they love without the restrictions that come with living with chronic pain.

Alex, our Chronic Pain therapist, has experienced first hand the effects Chronic Pain can have on people. Her uncle lived with Chronic Pain his whole life and after years of medications and treatments that didn’t seem to work he sadly took his own life as he felt this was the only way to become pain free.

Throughout her work as a physiotherapist Alex has helped people living in Chronic pain find hope. Our clinician Alex is very unique as she is both a Physiotherapist and a Pharmacist. She is the only person in Australia who holds dual registration in both these fields. Alex provides the missing link between hands-on active treatment and medication management for many of her clients.

She uses her skills as both a physiotherapist and a pharmacist to help you manage your Chronic Pain using a range of physiotherapy modalities including hands-on treatment, exercise, pain management education plus she can provide recommendations on medication timing, side effect of medication and how to manage these and can liaise with the other members of your healthcare team such as your GP or specialist to ensure you are on the most appropriate medication to ensure the best outcome for you.

Alex approaches Chronic Pain management from both a physical and  pharmacological angle. She will help you reduce your reliance on medications by optimising their use in conjunction with physiotherapy and exercise.
