Jehane is a fully certified STOTT PILATES Instructor with a background in Dance, BA (Hons) Dance WAAPA. She completed her Pilates education in Sweden at Stockholm Pilates Center and has been teaching since 2011.
Her interest in Pilates developed from a need to complement her dance training. She found it so effective that she decided to pursue it professionally. With a keen eye for movement and a love of the work, Jehane is invested in the needs of her clients and thoroughly enjoys helping them find a more functional way of moving.
She and her family have recently moved back home to Brisbane after having lived in Perth and Stockholm for the last 12 years and she says it’s great to be back! Jehane is excited to be working with the FORDESPHYSIO team.
Fun fact: Alex and Jehane first met each other as toddlers in ballet class at Sayers Dance Centre and we both still love to move!

The question you get asked most by your clients….
How often should I be doing Pilates?
And the answer is...
I usually recommend at least 1 training session per week, though depending on the individual and what they want out of the training, it will be more effective done more intensively with 2 to 3 sessions per week. Though if you really love it, a varied workout, once a day will do the trick!
What makes you wildly happy?
Being creative, drinking coffee and going to the beach with family and friends.
If you could change something in the world, what would it be?
I would want people to feel more free to be themselves.
One thing I wish everyone in the world could know about Pilates is…
That Pilates can serve as a kind of meditation, allowing you to really focus on the quality of your movement by bringing awareness to patterns that often go unnoticed. I find the process of slowing down helps with stress and ultimately allows for better results.
